This privacy policy explains who we are, how we collect, share and use Personal Information, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

Your Data

At your first appointment we will ask you to complete a consultation form. This will include your name, date of birth, email address, phone number and relevant health history. It is an insurance requirement enabling us to assess whether massage is safe for you. It also helps us understand you and your own unique needs.

It is a legal requirement for us to keep your relevant health information to ensure that we can provide safe and professional treatments for you. It is your responsibility to keep us updated of any relevant medical or health information. In some cases, it may be necessary for us to obtain medical information from your G.P. or other healthcare professionals. This will only be done with your written consent.

 

We will keep written notes of all treatments we provide for you, along with your consultation form. The information will only be viewed and used by the team at Elfi's Retreat.

Data Retention

We keep your email and mobile number on your consultation form for the sole purpose of arranging massage appointments, sending payment details and delivering feedback.

If you choose to stop having treatments with us, you may ask us to remove some of your data.

​

In order to meet insurance and financial obligations, we are required to keep certain details on record for a fixed period of time from the date of your last treatment in order to meet the requirements of relevant policies and legislation. At present, this is five years for insurance and six years for tax/financial purposes.

In some cases, it may be possible to anonymise some of the data. If this is not possible, we will not delete your details until after that period has passed.
